Answer is no
Can this venous compression lead to downstream complications or changes in venous flow/pressure such as weakness and numbness in the limbs and muscles below the neck? I have slight transverse ligament instability, synovial joint inflammation in the C1-C2 area, cervicla curve reversal, and likely intracranial hypertension arising from this specific problem. But whenever my C1 moves slightly abnormally to one side or too far forward I get stroke like attacks very suddenly that look like myelopathy. I don't have an upright MRI but the supine MRI did not show my dens hitting my spinal cord, or that the transverse ligament was nearly that hypermobile enough to do that according to DMX. There's no basilar invagination on my MRI. Transcranial doppler came back negative for VBI as well. So my next thought is either a CSF flow problem or a vascular one that's somehow affecting my brainstem or upper spinal cord as a result of instability.
I am feeling very lousy worse than usual this past week if I don’t have my shoulders up in my head bent back so I can feel the drainage of the vein down my neck my heart starts to feel extremely heavy and I have to lay down please give insight
This didn’t even help

I’ve been suffering from chronic pain & failed to get a diagnosis for almost 20 years now. I’ve done endless research, seen at least 30 doctors in the past 5 years and still no diagnosis. I have tried to talk to doctors abt the possibility of my diagnosis being Slipped Rib Syndrome, nobody takes me seriously. Do you have advice on how to actually advocate for myself & actually secure a proper diagnosis for this? I absolutely believe I have slipped rib syndrome & it’s gone for so long there is no way I’m just simply “inflamed” in my ribs. I have never yet found a doctor that has even heard of this before. Ive also had MRI, X-ray & ultrasound done… I am 36, abt to be 37 & desperate at this point to be taken seriously so I can get the treatment I need. please any advice would b welcomed . My response is always “well we don’t see anything on imaging, seems you are ok”
Hallo Stephan, vielen Dank für dein Video 🙏🏼 ich habe mir alles angeschaut, trotzdem würde ich dich gerne persönlich etwas fragen. Es wäre schön wenn du mir weiterhelfen könntest. Danke

my legs calf muscle are jumping since more then a year no back pain but pain in legs what reason of this can't find still
doctor, how many weeks after PICL can the patient perform activities such as running, swimming, cycling or tennis? Tennis is probably the least recommended of those mentioned? I mean after how many weeks is it safe for the treated alar ligaments not to be damaged again?
I had it on my neck felt like i was paralyzed from neck to toe for a few seconds jeez 😢 scary stuff
I just had my first PICL in March.. after 11 years of CCI & AAI. I’m cautiously optimistic but the time from injury really concerns me.
Did you see improvements after the PICL ?
@@AymaneElAchkar still only 3 months out and they don’t even look for improvements until months 4+. It’s hard to quantify because I have some really good days where I’m functioning well, and some days where I’m housebound. I also have dysautonomia, so that doesn’t help.
thanks dr Chris C. It's very interesting topic.

Question on nerve healing - If the nerves are irritated from moderate CCI but caught in the first 1-2 years, are the chances good that they'll just heal on their own once you add stability? Would b12 subq injections help? Any thoughts on intrathecal/IV whartons jelly + exosomes to boost nerves once ligaments have been healed? I know you did a study that most don't contain living cells, but if they're verified by a third party lab and done in the US to have living cells, would that have potential to help?
If you made the procedure accessible and affordable for everyone, we wouldn't have to suffer with CCI for five years or more, leading to irreversible damages and a lifetime of torture! It's infuriating that so many are left to suffer just because of the cost!
Damn right
you can do this treatment in India if you want.

My doctor wouldn't let me see my MRI. Insists on surgery.
I would suggest checking out the Postural Restoration Institute and their programs for realignment and the rebuilding of symmetry. This is not a muscle strengthening program but a neuro-sensory modality of exercise rebuilding awareness of the body in space and optimal postural patterns as opposed to dysfunctional patterns of torque and tension.
Dr. Centeno, wouldn’t there be a third thing that controls spinal stability - the nervous system?
Feels like my heart is throbbing in my upper left arm, with pain in my left trap muscle. Maybe shoulder shrugs are out ... 😞
🙏🏻Thks Doc. best ever enlighting sofar on issue! 🎩🌷

I've been given CIPRO for 2 years for chronic UTIs. Even when I questioned the doctor saying this is double black boxed very bad for a 79 year old. Her response, all antibiotics are bad and wrote the script.
Is it the irritation of vagus nerve or jugular vein responsible for increased blood pressure?
I had spine fusion I have no pain for the first time in 50 years

So a less than .01ml of ananbolic steroid made its way into saline solution and was able to show up on a anabolic blood test? Is that what youre trying to convince us of? Bpc 157 comes in a saline sultion vial along with constituted powder and needs to be reconstituted in the saline solution. Thry example you just gave was made up by the lawyer
Thank you for this video! I have had three rounds of for a total of 21 treatments) two different doctors and none of them have really mentioned much or not mentioned anything about rehabbing cci! Are your eye movement tests online free to everyone or must you be a patient
This was helpful, thank you.

Yes, physiatrists here in British Columbia are also uninterested in cervical and cranio-cervical instability and the associated symptoms. They would prefer to label these symptoms as somatic symptom disorder. Whiplash injuries are seen as minor soft tissue injuries that they claim heal. Concussion is also seen as a temporary condition following whiplash and if you have ongoing symptoms, these are also seen as somatic symptom disorder. Yes, again, a real lack of interest and not wanting to stick their necks out. They are also not proficient in reading signs of injury in cervical and brain MRI, they just simply don’t have the skill set to read MRI effectively. Dr. Centeno does as he reads these scans everyday with proficiency. Another of physiatrist’s biggest downfalls are their under developed skills at palpatory examination and then disregarding the findings of those manual therapists who do have highly developed palpatory skills - ie, osteopaths and craniosacral therapists.
Who should I see for treatment? I don't even know where to begin
@@-xo6883 If you are interested in treatment, I would suggest finding a biodynamic osteopath and if possible, one trained in concussion treatment. I would also recommend looking at the Postural Restoration Institute as their exercise programs bridge the gap that physiotherapists cannot address. That is how the neck and cranium are absolutely part of the entire musculoskeletal system and instability at the cranial base will also play out higher in terms of the occipital, sphenoid and temporal bones along with the TMJs. Ross Hauser uses the word cervical destructuration. A functional neurologist would have a lot to contribute and may also help with both treatment and diagnosis. It is odd how treatment can take place without a physiatrist being able to acknowledge the underlying condition as they dismiss the work done by those types of therapists listed above. They simply are not even interested in those therapist’s findings so those findings are left out of any medical / legal report even though they may be the only physical findings any us have to work with. If you are looking for a diagnosis, that may be harder as here in BC, the legal authority that physiatrists have is useless as they don’t have the background nor interest in dealing with cervical and craniocervical instability. They will find relatively little wrong even if your head is about to fall off. Yes, I exaggerate because this is a grim set of circumstances and should not be happening but you will wake up in your own nightmare knowing the medical system in Canada will do nothing for you. So, more imaging may be useful but the reading of scans should be done by a seasoned radiologist familiar with these conditions. I will also be working with a TMJ and sleep disorder specialist to diagnose the malocclusion and cranial distortion that I am living with as well. They will use a cone beam CT scan that will provide useful landmarks to assess that structural and functional relationships between the occipital condyles, the TMJ condyles and the status of the TMJs as well as position of the temporal and sphenoid bones in relation to C2, C1, etc.

What if the cell has died?
I had spinal fusion at the L5 S1 2006 and I’ve been living in hell for 18 years and nothing ever works other than short term and it’s a total destruction of one’s mental state especially with the nerve pain in the anxiety that comes with it. To all those suffering Kratom has helped me a tremendous amount and I have not been on the doctors medicine in nine years. I can feel the disc above the fusion getting thinner and clicking more and the pain is ungodly. ❤️🙏🏻
